Lets Learn About Passport



What is Passport?

Passport means a valid passport which has been issued to a person by or on behalf of the Government of which he/she is a subject or citizen and includes any form of valid document of identity issued for the purpose of travel by any Government and recognized as a travel document by the Government.

Malaysia Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of travelling abroad.

The passports / travel documents are the property of the Government of Malaysia and may be withdrawn at any time if the Immigration Department is satisfied the passports / travel documents are used contravene against the Passport Act 1966.

The holder is fully responsible for the security of the passport / travel document.


Eligibility

Malaysian citizen.

Any Immigration Offices and Malaysian Representative Offices.

RM100.00/ 2 years
RM300.00 / 5 years


Modes of payment



i. Cash
ii. Crossed Postal Money Order or Bank Draft :
  • In Malaysia - under the name of Director- General of Immigration Malaysia or State Immigration Director only.
  • Overseas - under the name of Malaysia High Commissioner/Deputy Malaysia High Commissioner/Malaysia Ambassador/Malaysia Consulate General (where applicable)
Personal or company cheque is not accepted.



How to apply?
Procedures as follow:
  •  Appear at the Immigration office or Malaysian Representative Offices abroad.
  • Duly completed Form Im.42-pin 1/97. The form can be obtained from any Malaysia Immigration office or downloaded from Malaysia Immigration Department website (Should be printed both side using white A4 size paper).
  • Documents required are:
    • Identification Card (MyKad)
    • If the applicant is not in possession of MyKad, temporary identification Certificate (JPN.KPPK 09 or 11) AND Birth Certificate is required
    • 2 copies of recent photograph with light blue background (3.5 X 5 cm)
    • Form W/ Birth Certificate/ Certificate of Status (only for those who was born outside Malaysia)


Client Charter
Malaysia Passport will be issued within 2 hours after payment has been made before 3.30 pm! and yes 2 hours only!
